Welcome to the Information Booth Volunteer Team, the beacon of knowledge and assistance at this year's incredible music festival! As volunteers stationed at the heart of the festival grounds, our mission is to be the go-to resource for all attendees seeking guidance, information, or assistance. With a wealth of festival know-how and a passion for helping others, we're here to answer questions, provide directions, and ensure that every guest's experience is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether it's locating stages, finding amenities, or offering recommendations, our friendly faces and helpful demeanor will be a constant source of support throughout the event. Together, let's cultivate an atmosphere of camaraderie and hospitality, ensuring that every festivalgoer feels welcomed and well-informed from the moment they arrive.

 

Duties

  • Greet festival attendees warmly and provide a welcoming atmosphere at the information booth.

  • Offer assistance, guidance, and information to guests regarding event schedules, artist lineups, stage locations, amenities, and festival policies.

  • Assist with lost and found inquiries, directing guests to the appropriate location for retrieving lost items or reporting lost belongings.

  • Coordinate with festival staff to address any emerging issues, concerns, or emergencies, escalating to appropriate personnel as necessary.

  • Maintain a neat and organised information booth area, ensuring that materials are well-stocked and signage is visible and informative.

  • Provide recommendations and suggestions to attendees regarding nearby dining options, attractions, transportation, and lodging accommodations.

  • Assist guests with special needs or accessibility requirements, ensuring they have access to the information and resources they need to fully enjoy the festival.

  • Collaborate with fellow volunteers and festival staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication between information booths and other festival areas.

  • Represent Pine Festival with professionalism and enthusiasm, maintaining a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all attendees.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Friendly, outgoing, and approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and helpful in high-pressure situations or when dealing with challenging interactions.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities.

  • Basic knowledge of the festival lineup, schedule, and layout is beneficial (training will be provided).

  • Comfortable using electronic devices such as tablets or smartphones for accessing event information and communicating with fellow volunteers.

  • Willingness to adhere to event policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

  • Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or event management is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods. Basic knowledge of the festival lineup, schedule, and layout is beneficial (training will be provided).

  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and problem-solve under pressure.
