Music Festival

Local Stage | Friday | TBA

Emerging indie rockers Manilla Times, hailed as one of XS Manchester’s “Ones to Watch 24”, deliver infectious anthems brimming with energy and nostalgia. Originating from small towns in Ireland and North Wales, the band—comprising Jack McKelvey (vocals), Jase Watkins (guitar), Ollie Neave (bass), and Sean Wheldon (drums)—now straddle the vibrant music scenes of Manchester and London.

In 2023, they notched up sold-out UK & Ireland headline shows, including the iconic Deaf Institute in Manchester, a standout performance at Y NOT festival, and extensive radio airplay on BBC Introducing, XS Manchester, Radio X, among others. Their tracks have also graced top Spotify editorial playlists like “Proper Belters” and “Fresh Finds UK & IE”.

With a lineup of headline gigs and festival appearances confirmed in London, Paris, Wrexham, Edinburgh and Belfast, 2024 promises to be Manilla Times’ biggest year yet. Join their journey. Up the times!
